Her Choice turns 1 year old!

Time sure flies!

I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that Moon and I have been working on this game for a whole year now. There have been delays, rescoping, yelling at the code in frustration, scrapping art and starting over from scratch, ups and downs, and a steep learning curve, but the thought of calling quits never occurred to us even once. After a year, I can still confidently say that developing Her Choice is — and will continue to be — one of the most fun and satisfying projects I have worked on.

When Moon and I started out, we never imagined our game would receive all the love and support everyone has been showing us so far, and we certainly had no clue the kind of amazing people that would be joining our team one after the other.

So, without further ado, let me introduce you to *drumroll* TotES Studio P.

Her Choice wouldn't be half what it is without Moon's art. I have to commend them for putting up daily with all my unreasonable requests, and never complaining even while they struggle through long working hours and dying equipment.

100 sprites down and 100 more to go, congratulations on surviving the last year, Moon.

Working with Hiroki is a pleasure all around. I'm constantly blown away by his talent, and just how receptive and flexible he is when fulfilling all my very-vague-yet-very-specific musical requests.

Inka joining TotES was a true game-changer (pun completely unintended), not only because she introduced us to Hiroki and was the first to support us when everybody else around thought we were out of our minds. Despite juggling her married life and a taxing full-time job, Inka is somebody I can always turn to when in need of some good, down-to-earth advice.

Meri is the newest, invaluable member of TotES.

Growing interest around Her Choice — and then responding to that interest — has recently been eating away huge chunks of time I would have otherwise spent on actual game development. I knew from the get-go I couldn't run from marketing, but it does require a whole skillset I do not possess. My sanity is infinitely grateful I can now delegate it to a professional.

And lastly, yours truly Wavi, the person who has been bringing you regular updates about Her Choice over the last year. I write the script, program the code, render the background art, and put all my OCDs to good use to ensure we make steady progress towards our development goals.
