This week we are celebrating ... the completion of the script for Zanas's Act 1 route!

☐ Script

The handful of scenes that are still missing are the optional events where you learn more about the supporting cast and a couple of additional backstory events told from his point of view. It's all extra content, so I want to make sure it ties in well with the overarching plot.

I loved every moment of writing Zan's route, even when I was struggling with it. I have a soft spot for sugar-and-troll love interests who can't go two minutes without teasing you (￢‿￢ ) and watching them come undone as their antics backfire on them and their less-than-perfect sides get exposed, is pure gold.

Moon, who went over the finished script, commented that I basically wrote "50k words of fanservice". Yes, Moon, welcome to the world of otome games, where there is no such thing as "too much fanservice".

(There's so much more I want to say about Zan, his personality and his story, but ... I've edited this paragraph ten times and everything turns into a spoiler ∑(O_O;) so ... I'll just save the rest for another time hahaha)

As I mentioned in the previous devlog, Hano's route is up next. The scenarios have been fully developed, just requiring a few adjustments and the addition of the optional events. Compared to Zan's route, Hano's is a traditional plot-driven story (rather than a *ahem* "fanservice-driven" one) so to me, it flows just so much more smoothly.

☐ Backgrounds

While I've been dedicating most of the week to the script, I managed to squeeze in enough time to complete one more background.

(I actually also half-finished the Tilltelai garrison background before remembering I moved the scene that took place there to another location (×_×)  the pain!)
